Nestled in the heart of Bramhall village on Moss Lane, our local kitchen design and supply business Keller Kitchens at Byles has been serving the local community for an impressive ten years.
I Love Bramhall sat down with owner Penny Egan to find out all the latest from Byles HQ.
A family business, Byles started out in Hyde in 1932. As the company has grown, Byles has expanded to two bases. The Bramhall branch specialises in kitchen design and supply, and the second branch, located in Marple and run by Penny’s brother Chris, offers bedroom and bathroom design and supply alongside kitchens.
Getting the most from a kitchen requires careful planning, and this is where Penny’s expertise lies. Maximising space and giving customers a realistic idea of how their kitchen could best be laid out is an art, and Penny uses the latest technology to create designs that are bespoke to each customer’s needs and desires.
Many customers come to Byles with an architect’s plans for a kitchen transformation; others visit to replace their current kitchen without really changing the layout – and Penny is equally committed to helping both types of buyer achieve their goals.
Keller Kitchens at Byles designs and supplies entire kitchens, from cupboards and worktops to appliances and Amtico flooring. As the name suggests, Byles is a major stockist of Keller Kitchens – a Dutch brand known for its beautiful yet affordable kitchens. Byles has sold Keller Kitchens for over 30 years and regularly heads over to Holland to check out the latest designs and innovations at the brand’s HQ.
As well as Keller Kitchens, Byles also stocks Blanco sinks and taps, Quooker hot taps, a wide range of worktops in materials like Corian, granite and quartz and top quality appliances from Neff. As a five-star master partner with Neff, Byles has a long and successful working relationship with the German brand, and Penny visits as regularly as she can to stay on top of the latest trends and pick out perfect additions for homes back in Bramhall.
Living locally with her partner, Penny has been based in Bramhall for more than 30 years. Laidback village life and a strong, supportive business community combine to make Bramhall the idea base for day-to-day living, as well as for maintaining a successful business, Penny says.
“Keller Kitchens at Byles is proud to have been a part of the local landscape in Bramhall for ten years. We’re a family-run company that always puts our clients first, with the aim of providing a professional service with that personal touch. We’d like to thank all of our customers for their business to date and are excited about what the rest of this year holds for Byles.”
With 2019 being the Bramhall branch’s ten-year anniversary, Penny has some plans in store to mark the occasion later this year. Details are under wraps for now but expect to hear about some exciting plans later in the year that could well include a bit of a facelift for the Bramhall showroom!
