Handforth Health Centre is looking for a part time permanent medical receptionist to join their team.  

The post is for 15 hours per week but with flexibility for more shifts if required.  Shift patterns are as follows:-

  • Monday – Friday: 8am – 12noon | 1pm – 4.30pm | 4.30pm – 8pm

The candidate will have a mixture of shifts over the week and will need to be available over those times for extra sessions. Previous NHS experience desirable but full training will be given.  This is an extremely busy practice and the applicant must be able to prioritise and work under pressure.

Adam & Caroline are looking for a carer/mother’s helper to help out with our family, who has some experience or is interested in working with a child with special needs and disabilities, and with an updated DBS /CRB. 
Their daughter is 8 years old and has the following set of special needs that impact her on a daily basis:
  • Hemiplegia – Cerebral Palsy right side (mobility good when in her splint)
  • Visual Impairment – Severely impaired, she retains some light / dark sensitivity
  • Oral feeding difficulties – Gastrostomy (tube fed)… very easy to learn 
Their daughter is an absolute delight and loves playing and learning but struggles primarily based on her reduced sight and reduced use or right hand. She is developing well physically and cognitively. She is a very active little girl and is always on the go. She also has a great sense of humour. We are therefore looking for a caring fun person that can bring fun and laughter to our child’s life as well as meet her care needs. We have a small dog called Woody who is very friendly.
They have two requirements, one for regular help getting their daughter ready for school, and one for school holiday help. 
Regular school mornings: 
  • It would be for 3 or 4 mornings a week starting at 7am / 7.15am and finishing at 9.15am/9.30am
  • The job would involve helping the parents with her bathing, dressing, toileting, tube feeding (learn on the job) and assisting mum with school drop off (driving not required) followed with some light housekeeping to tidy up from the morning. 
School holidays 
  • Next holiday being Easter – Thurs 4th April – Monday 22nd April
  • We are seeking support through school holidays through the day, typically 3-4 hours a day and we can be flexible around times and weekdays or weekends.
