Making arrangements for care in later life – be it for yourself or for a loved one – can be a daunting prospect. The idea of a care home isn’t for everyone but there is an alternative: one-on-one care around the clock in the comfort of your own home. The Good Care Group delivers just that – I Love Bramhall met up with local business manager Sharon to find out more about their award-winning service.
The fifth instalment of the Big Bramhall Free Tea Party was, as predicted, bigger and better than ever before. Taking place on July 6th at St Michael & All Angels Church Hall, our special event for Bramhall’s older residents was so popular this year that our keenest guests arrived half an hour early!
It’s official: Glo Tanning Bramhall’s third birthday was our best yet! Dozens of visitors joined us at the salon over the weekend of June 29th and 30th and the fizz was free flowing. We’d like to extend a big thank you to everyone who joined us over the two-day event and made it such a special occasion.
Woodford ‘Rec’ is a community recreation ground and sports facility including a grass pitch for cricket, four football pitches and a small 10-space car park. It belongs to Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council and as such we all pay towards it. The sports clubs based there also pay to use it, which the players’ subs contribute towards. On Sunday, several travellers arrived on the land and proceeded to set up camp, raising many concerns amongst local residents.
Residents of Bramhall and beyond will no doubt have heard of Olivers Restaurant, opposite The Davenport Arms pub in Woodford. For those who have yet to pay a visit, the restaurant’s exciting news may just be the excuse you need to treat yourself… I Love Bramhall met up with owner James O’Neil to talk about the celebrations currently underway at the restaurant.
It’s almost time for tea in Bramhall – the Big Bramhall Free Tea Party, that is. Returning for its fifth instalment on Friday July 6th, I Love Bramhall’s special get-together for the village’s senior residents promises bags more than any ordinary tea party.
