Location: Bramall Hall, SK7 3NX

Dave Tong – The Yarnsmith of Norwich, will kick off the 2019 historic talks programme at Bramall Hall.

Embroidering the Truth is an exploration of the stories, myths and legends that have grown up around the Bayeux Tapestry. From the folktale about a great tree that burst forth from the belly of William the Conqueror’s mother to the legends that grew up around the rebel Saxon. Hereward the Wake, the Bayeux Tapestry is continuing inspiration to tale tellers for nearly a thousand years.
