Thousands of people gathered in Bramhall Village on Sunday 3 December to take part in the annual Light Up Bramhall event. The free community event was the perfect start to the Christmas festivities in Bramhall, with families enjoying a great day out in the village.
This year’s highlights included
The annual event is one of three community events organised by the Bramhall Together Trust and held each year in Bramhall Village to bring together the local community and to support local businesses. To create the street party atmosphere, Bramhall Lane South was closed from midday and many businesses joined in with food sampling, pop up bars and street food.
A huge thank you to Nadine Mansfield Photography for volunteering her services and producing these fabulous images and the many volunteers that helped to make it such a success.
Chairman of Bramhall Together Trust, Roger Prydderch commented,
“Another great community event in Bramhall and getting bigger every year. It’s always a great way to start the Christmas period and fantastic to see so many people out and about and enjoying themselves in the village.
Thanks, this year to Vernon Building Society, Village Square, the Bramhall Area Committee, Yardbird, Mercato, Chilli Banana and Chrome Motors for contributing towards the costs of the event, we would love more businesses to be involved and support these free events for the community.
Local residents alike can get involved by offering assistance or donations. The Bramhall Together Trust have regular meetings at Fords Lane Church Hall, everyone involved works on a voluntary basis. Anyone seeking to offer assistance, donate, take part, receive the minutes from the meeting please do get in touch, each year the Bramhall Together Trust needs to raise over £12,000 to put these 3 events on a year so each and every contribution goes a long way.
