It’s been a whirlwind year for Bramhall’s newest estate agent Leighton Snow, what with a new baby, office expansion and ever-growing team to manage! I Love Bramhall caught up with Leighton Snow Estate Agents for all the facts from their 18 months in business.
Setting up in July 2018 on Fir Road, Leighton and his partner Gemma started out as a dynamic duo with bags of experience in the property market, having worked both locally and central London. Launching with a unique model that combines the benefits of physical premises and local knowledge with the transparent fees of an online agent, the business quickly took off and has since shown no sign of slowing.
In fact, business has been so busy that before 2019 was out it became necessary for Leighton and Gemma to take on more staff. In January 2019 Rachel joined the Leighton Snow team as Sales Manager, followed by administrator and negotiator Katie. Emmie, who handles behind-the-scenes tasks bringing the team at Leighton Snow to five. To accommodate this rapid growth the office has also been renovated, opening up more rooms – one of which is now the base of independent mortgage broker Michelle Cooke of MLC Financial Services.
A partnership was struck up between the two businesses in the autumn of 2019, with Michelle offering residential mortgage and protection advice both for general customers and in-house for Leighton Snow’s clients. The partnership allows Leighton to offer customers a choice of services all under one roof, and ensures the team can keep track of the mortgage status during the property buying process.
Outside the office Leighton has been busy in the local community, supporting events like the Bramhall Duck Races, which he sponsored, and getting wet for charity in the stocks at the Fir Road markets. Leighton Snow Estate Agents is also a proud sponsor of two local primary schools: Ladybrook Primary School – which Leighton attended as a child – and Queensgate Primary School. A keen sports fan, Leighton generously sponsors the football and cross country teams at Ladybrook and the cross country runners at Queensgate.
Alongside running the business and helping out in the local community, Leighton and Gemma have been adjusting to family life since welcoming baby Sophie in February 2019. Having also lost his father last year, Leighton says that while 2019 was particularly emotional and at times intense, it’s made every day in the office has more meaningful as a result.
Striking up partnerships with other local businesses is one of the ways in which Leighton Snow will be adding value for their customers in 2020, having recently teamed up with Almond Family Pubs to offer some special deals for their customers. On completion, Leighton will be giving some special goodies in their home ownership packs, including a generous half-price carveries at one of the six Almond pubs The Hesketh, Jolly Sailor, Three Bears, Puss in Boots, Spread Eagle and the Fletchers Arms.
In a short period of time, Leighton Snow have successfully established themselves as a reputable local business: no longer the new agent, Leighton says, but the go-to agent, and one of the top three estate agents locally to be called out to property valuations. It just goes to show that dedication does pay off!
