Starting the day looking fantastic with minimal effort is the dream for so many of us – a dream that seems further out of reach with age and responsibility. Committed to making that dream a reality, however, is Liz Holebrook, owner of aesthetics business The Clinic. I Love Bramhall met up with Liz to find out just what keeps clients coming back to The Clinic time and again.
In a nod to Liz’s medical background, The Clinic sounds, well, clinical, but the setting is welcomingly cosy, boasting a plush, private waiting area and several treatment rooms. Located off Stockport Road in Cheadle, The Clinic shares its base with a couple of other aesthetic practitioners specialising in permanent makeup and minor surgical procedures.
Liz, who lives in Hazel Grove with her husband and three children, is a qualified nurse, having completed her training at Stepping Hill Hospital. After qualifying in 2004, Liz spent ten years at the hospital before working as a practice nurse at our very own Bramhall Medical Centre. She then branched out into aesthetics and it was here that she found her passion.
Since making the discovery, Liz has fully trained in aesthetic services, including anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers and the 8-point facelift technique. She prides herself on her ethical approach to aesthetics, which involves producing the most natural-looking results possible, helping clients feel good about looking good.
The majority of Liz’s customers are women in their 40s and 50s -some in their 60s – many of whom have experienced life’s various trials and who are now in need of a bit of TLC. Providing a friendly, confidential and regulated service, Liz helps these women bounce back and regain the confidence to face the day, regardless of their circumstances.
Clients from all walks of life come to Liz not only to use her expert services but also to talk; down-to-earth Liz has the knack of helping people feel at ease and her nursing background provides reassurance for clients that they are in safe hands. As a medical practitioner Liz is governed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, which means that she works to the highest standards while ensuring maximum confidentiality.
The renown of The Clinic has spread far and wide; Liz welcomes locals from Bramhall, Cheadle and across Stockport every day but also regularly treats clients from further afield, including Stoke and Yorkshire. It’s never quiet at The Clinic but Liz always sets a bit of time aside to jet off back home to Hampshire when she can; living in the county between the ages of 11 and 18, Liz has family and friends in the area – many of whom have become faithful clients.
Thanks to the power of social media, which has seen results from The Clinic shared around the world, Liz even serves clients from as far away as the USA, who head over to the UK to take advantage of her expertise!
Besides her busy home life and aesthetics business, big-hearted Liz has stayed true to her roots and continues to work in nursing, providing additional medical services. Being a trained nurse means Liz is also able to offer services such as vitamin injections, which are necessary for the management of conditions like pernicious anaemia. She also works at the out-of-hours emergency service Mastercall every month, tending to patients from across Stockport.
If aesthetics is something you’d like to try, get in touch with Liz for a friendly chat – don’t forget to check out her work on social media, too.
